Health Screening in Singapore
Many endocrine and chronic diseases, such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and osteoporosis, often develop without noticeable symptoms. Without early detection, these conditions can progress unnoticed, leading to severe complications.
Comprehensive health screening is vital for identifying risks early, allowing for timely intervention, and prevention of future complications. Take proactive steps to safeguard your well-being with our health screening packages today.

Our Health Screening Tests
Our clinic provides a variety of health screening packages. Below is a list of the available tests.

For some conditions such as obesity, specialised assessments such as sleep studies may be conducted to obtain insight into a certain symptom e.g. sleep apnea. The following are the imaging and specialised tests that we offer:
- Bone mineral densitometry

What To Expect From a Health Screening
Before your screening
To ensure the accuracy of the results, take note of the following before going for your health screening test:
Fasting
For certain tests like blood tests and abdominal ultrasounds, fasting for at least eight hours before your appointment is required, though plain water is allowed.
Medications
If you have diabetes, avoid taking your medication on the morning of your appointment. However, high blood pressure and heart medications can be continued as usual.
Menstruation
Urine, stool, pap smear tests, and pelvic examinations should be scheduled at least five days before or after menstruation.
During the screening
You will undergo a comprehensive series of health screening tests tailored to your health history and concerns. The process typically includes blood tests, measurements like blood pressure, and other screenings specific to your health needs.
After the screening
Before leaving the clinic, a review appointment will be scheduled for Dr Gani to discuss your results and any necessary treatments or follow-ups.
FAQs About Health Screenings in Singapore
Who should get a health screening?
Health screenings are important for individuals of all ages, particularly those at higher risk of endocrine disorders such as:
- Individuals with a family history of endocrine disorders: Regular screenings can help with the early detection and management of conditions like diabetes, thyroid disorders, or osteoporosis.
- Women during menopause: Hormonal changes during menopause can increase the risk of osteoporosis and metabolic conditions, making screenings essential.
- Men as they age: Ageing can bring about andrological changes in men that impact overall health, making periodic screenings beneficial.
- Individuals planning to start a family or women trying to conceive: Thyroid dysfunction and abnormal blood sugar levels can affect fertility and pregnancy outcomes, so screening for these conditions can help ensure a healthier pregnancy
How often should I take a health screening?
The recommended frequency of health screening depends on factors such as age, medical history, and risk factors. Generally, adults should undergo a health screening annually, while those with existing conditions or higher risk factors may require more frequent check-ups.
How long does health screening take?
A typical health screening session takes about an hour to a day, depending on the number and type of tests included.
What should I bring for my health screening?
For your health screening appointment, bring the following items to ensure a smooth process:
- Identity card or passport
- Staff pass (for corporate clients)
- Previous medical records, including doctor’s memos, X-ray films, ECG reports, or any current medications
Can I eat before a health screening?
Fasting for 8–12 hours is sometimes required for some blood tests. This is particularly important for tests measuring glucose and cholesterol levels, as eating beforehand can lead to inaccurate results. Our team will guide you in the preparation for the health screening.
Can I do a health screening when I am sick?
It is generally not advisable to undergo a health screening while unwell, as this can lead to inaccurate test results. If you are experiencing symptoms such as a fever or a cold, it is best to reschedule your screening for a later date.
Can I use MediSave to pay for my health screening?
MediSave cannot be used to pay for health screening packages at our clinic.
We have insurance partners that may allow you to make claims for your health screening, but this will depend on your specific insurance plan. We recommend checking with your insurance provider directly to understand the extent of your coverage.
